Kenyatta University is situated about 23 Km from Nairobi city on the Nairobi-Thika dual carriageway. The starting of Kenyatta University dates back to1965 when Templer Barracks was converted into Kenyatta College. Following an Act of Parliament of 1970, Kenyatta College became a constituent College of the University of Nairobi and was renamed Kenyatta University College. The College received University status on August 23, 1985 and inaugurated on December 17, 1985. Kenyatta University currently has a total enrolment of about 62,000 students enrolled in the following School;
